Kevin Federline says he ‘couldn’t get involved’ in Britney Spears’ conservatorship case.

Kevin Federline, ex-husband of Britney Spears, has broken his silence to discuss the conservatorship issue between the couple and the reasons he stayed silent. New footage from the 44-year-old dancer’s interview with 60 Minutes Australia shows him discussing the conservatorship and the couple’s children with Spears. Before the interview, the exes had a recent disagreement.

This Sunday, September 4, catch the next episode when it airs. Federline insisted he couldn’t let Spears’ legal woes get in the way of his responsibilities to their children, Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden, 15. In the preview, Kevin talked about Britney’s fight for conservatorship and added, “To put it mildly, I felt awful for her. In truth, I was.” According to US Weekly, he is quoted as saying, “I still feel dreadful.”

Fedline stated, “Lots of young men. I couldn’t help but worry about them. I was unable to take part.” Kevin and Britney were together for three years before getting married in 2004 and staying together till 2006. It took 13 years, but in November of last year, Spears’ conservatorship was finally lifted. The contract went into force in 2008, after the highs and lows of Spears’ life after her divorce from Federline had been extensively reported.

Despite the fact that her sons were not there at Britney’s recent wedding to her longterm boyfriend Sam Asghari, Federline had issued a statement saying, “Although the boys will not be in attendance, Kevin and the boys are pleased for Britney and wish her and Sam all the best moving forward.” Tensions between the ex-couples have been increasing since Federline said last month that their sons were uncomfortable with Britney’s candid Instagram photos.
